George Michael charged with drug, driving offenses

LONDON -- British police say singer George Michael has been charged with drugs and driving offenses after his car crashed into a building in an upscale residential area. London's Metropolitan Police department said Michael, 47, was charged on Thursday with possession of cannabis and with driving while unfit through drink or drugs. In a statement, police say Michael will appear at London's Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Aug. 24. Michael was arrested last month after his car crashed into a building in the Hampstead district of north London. Last year, Michael was questioned by police after his car hit a tractor-trailer, but was released. He was banned from driving for two years in 2007 after pleading guilty to driving while on drugs.

So yeah, wanted to take the kids out today and neither of them want to go out! MYT is on FusionFall and Hiro wore himself out running around the house with his Thomas the Train flashlight... and now is crashed out. But I did manage to get most of my todo list done... but I really wanted to get out for a while...

Tonight I might just make hotdogs and veggies for dinner. We are sort of sick of pizza and chicken and hamberger meat. Any suggestions?

Bought MYT a jr loft bed for her room. Its pretty cutr and I want to get some cute beaded curtains to hang around th bottom storage to give her a cutesy play area underneath. Its a good idea for hiro when he gets big enough for a higher bed since his room is so small. I still want to get out today, so I think some window shopping is in order..

Yeah, I don't know either....

So yeah, the budget training session went really great! Not only did I sound like I knew what I was talking about..I sort of actually did! I was so overwhelmed with the massive spreadsheet and technical aspects, that I sort of lost sight of the fact the I KNOW what the number actually mean, where they come from, why we use them, what produces them, how they affect what and why! I was actually the smarty pants!

We had the Big Meeting today regarding the acquisition of our company by the UK firm... and it does seem like the best thing overall for the company but you know changes in staffing will be inevitible... I hope I survive any future possible cuts. I guess good news is they will have to buy us out of our stock which should give us a half decent nest egg after taxes.

On a personal note, I've been working out everyday and am really feeling good about myself. Looking forward to dolling up and heading out for my birthday! 14 days and counting until 43!

Looks as if PBSJ is going to be acquired by the UK firm Atkins. Not sure what this all means for us low totem pole employees as of yet. We get more details on Wednesday with a Q&A with upper mgmt.

I've got a feeling that if anything changes on my level, it may be a while... hopefully since they are a UK firm, things stateside will continue as is...

Then as my day continued... my bank called me to say my account was being hit with all sorts of fraudulent charges... luckily they called and none of the charges have gone through (pending) but my account has been locked and even I can't access it until I go to the bank in person and pick up a new ATM card. Ya know, "they" picked a bad account to try to hack as I have a whopping $3 in my account. *sigh*

Tomorrow I am suppose to be helping our mgrs through our new budget process, but I've had a whole hour training in the new process, massive spreadsheet, and data compilation. I think I'm pretty savvy but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about it... I mean I'm suppose to help out with a workshop first thing tomorrow and my take on the whole thing is "fill this part out right and magically everything will populate". I feel like I'm going to crash and burn... but maybe with enough coffee I can pull it off? I guess we will see...

But on a good note, I love coming home.... I pull up to the house and I see two beautiful faces in the front window saying "mama-mama"!! And I get inside and they come running to give me hugs and kisses! Is the best part of my day!
